Need a job but dont know where to start Then SF Recruitment is the place for you

With plenty of new jobs every day, and hundreds of jobs to choose from, there are positions available to suit everyone’s needs ranging from Accounts Assistants to Procurement Managers. We spoke to Jodie Broadley, a specialist finance consultant who has been with SF Recruitment since 2014, about how SF can help you in your job search, no matter what your situation is.

I need a job now

As specialists in professional recruitment we understand how important immediate starts can be to companies and candidates who are in need of a job/employee as soon as possible.  If time is of the essence, temporary roles could be the answer to this.

At SF Recruitment, we have placed hundreds of thousands of temporary workers in our time and this is the perfect way to get your career on the right track. Temporary work allows you to develop your skills in a range of different sectors and situations and sets you on for being taken on in the role permanently.

If you’re looking for something more permanent, immediate start jobs are a perfect way to get your career on the right track, fast.

I need a job but have no experience

Thousands of people get turned down from jobs everyday due to not having previous experience in a similar position. If you’re just starting out, this can be a big knock back, however doing something about it can make a big difference when applying for jobs.

For example, volunteering may be a great way to build up your knowledge in a hands-on environment, not to mention giving a much-needed practical boost to your CV.

Aside from the benefits volunteering can bring, internships and apprenticeships are also a great way to boost your experience and show what you are made of, and a lot of the time resulting in a full-time permanent job. Alternatively, entry level jobs are available year-round in almost every industry.

Having no experience is not a problem at all; you just have to build on it.

I need a job but I don’t have the right qualifications

Job seeking can be competitive at the best of times. But if you’re going for a more advanced or perhaps niche position, certain academic credentials may be required.

Luckily, if you don’t currently have the right qualifications, there are a number of courses you can take to help you get to where you want to go, such as AAT, ACCA, ACMA, CIMA, CIPS etc.

I need a job that gives me flexibility

Finding a job that allows you to have a good work/life balance is a key part of most jobseekers' journeys. And, for many, that means finding a role that allows them the flexibility to continue to honour their current commitments.

If you want flexibility in your role, then a part-time position may be best for you. Having a part-time role not only gives you the chance to build on your experience but also allows a balance between your work life and personal life, giving you the flexibility to keep on track with your schedule.

Our #Flexforsuccess campaign has been a great success with more than 75% of the roles we recruit for coming with flexible options, compared with only 26% across the UK jobs market as a whole.

I need a job that makes the most of my degree

Whether you’ve just finished university, or you’ve been working for a while but want to move into an area that makes the most of your degree, there is a position out there for you.

There are thousands of graduate positions to choose from, in almost every industry. In fact, many companies even offer specialised graduate training schemes solely dedicated to helping graduates maximise their potential and kick-start their careers.

I need a job in…

Many people may just be looking for a job in a certain industry, but have no idea which one is right for you. The perfect role to match your skill set might even exist, but has a job title you would never think of searching for, for example Purchase Ledger Clerk, may be advertised as Accounts Payable Clerk.

SF Recruitment currently has 5 specialised markets in which we recruit for, so whether you’re looking for a job in Finance & Accountancy, Professional Services, TechnologyEngineering or the C-Suite, we've got you covered!
