“We are so pleased to be sponsoring Birmingham Tech Week once again in 2023 and really honoured to be doing so alongside some outstanding businesses and organisations. Being part of this impressive cohort is a huge testament to what our business and team are doing here in the West Midlands and beyond to support the ever-growing Tech sector in the UK. I feel immensely proud” – Mike Lattimer, Managing Director – SF Technology & SF Recruitment (West)

Get ready for a tech extravaganza like never before as Birmingham Tech Week, the UK's premier regional tech festival, gears up for its grandest edition yet. Mark your calendars for October 16-20, 2023, when this five-day spectacle will unfold, featuring an impressive line-up of over 150 speakers, including tech visionaries, government representatives, and industry stalwarts. Hosted at various venues across the vibrant West Midlands, this event is set to draw in a whopping 7,500 attendees, offering a dynamic platform for tech enthusiasts, entrepreneurs, and innovators.

Organised by the Birmingham Tech Community Interest Company (CIC), a non-profit organisation deeply committed to nurturing the local tech scene, Birmingham Tech Week promises an array of engaging activities. From tech expos and skills symposiums to thought-provoking panel discussions and high-profile summits, attendees can immerse themselves in the latest trends and innovations shaping the tech landscape.

What sets Birmingham Tech Week apart is its unique mission – all proceeds garnered through sponsorships are reinvested back into the West Midlands' tech ecosystem. This commitment to community development is the driving force behind this event, making it more than just a gathering of tech enthusiasts; it's a catalyst for positive change.

Birmingham, often dubbed Europe's youngest city, boasts an impressive track record in innovation, churning out a remarkable 65% of the region's inventions annually. This bustling hub of creativity is also home to a burgeoning tech community that fuels the city's growth.

Birmingham's rise as a tech powerhouse is not just a local phenomenon; it's gaining national recognition. According to the UKTN's regional tech report for the West Midlands in 2022, Birmingham surged from fourth to second place in CBRE's UK Tech Cities list, a testament to its burgeoning tech prowess. The West Midlands region boasts nearly 6,000 tech companies, employing a diverse workforce of over 38,000 individuals. This thriving tech ecosystem contributes a staggering £15 billion to the economy, and the demand for tech jobs has skyrocketed by over a third in the past year.
