An Audience with James Caan: A buzzing night at our new East Midlands office

Wednesday 10th September: Our new East Midlands Airport office was alive with energy as we welcomed almost 100 senior business leaders for An Audience with James Caan.

Guests joined us from across the region, including representatives from PwC, University of Nottingham, LDC, Arriva, Breedon, Leonard Cheshire, Westcom Group and Progress Rail (a Caterpillar company). It was a fantastic opportunity to bring together leaders from a wide range of sectors, all under one roof.

James delivered a captivating keynote, sharing insight from his career as an entrepreneur and investor. He spoke about his investing background, his collaborations with government, what he looks for in partners, and how to stay resilient through the ups and downs of the economy. Practical advice included the importance of disciplined cash management, saving during strong trading periods to see businesses through leaner times. He also kept the room entertained with funny behind-the-scenes stories from his time on Dragons’ Den.

This event marks another milestone in what has been a year of continued growth and success for SF Recruitment. Alongside the opening of our new East Midlands super-hub, we have expanded internationally with a new Frankfurt office and were proud to be named Recruitment Agency of the Year (100+ employees) at the Recruiter Awards 2024.
