Interim Financial Controller

We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join a manufacturing business and play a key role in strengthening financial control, stock management, and costing processes.

This role is hands-on and will suit someone who enjoys being close to operations and understands the numbers behind production. This is a 3-6 month assignment and requires someone who is available on a 1 week notice or immediately available.

Key responsibilities will include:

Calculation of direct and indirect labour costs

Stock and inventory control across manufacturing operations
Product and process costings
Supporting and developing the finance team
Improving financial systems, controls, and reporting
Working closely with operational and production teams

Essential experience:

Proven experience as a Financial Controller (or similar) within a manufacturing environment
Strong understanding of stock, WIP, and production costing
Confident working independently and using your own initiative
Practical, hands-on approach with excellent attention to detail
On-site role - 4 to 5 days per week
This position requires a visible presence in the business to fully understand production, stock, and cost drivers.
