Digital Marketing Executive
Birmingham City Centre (Hybrid – 2 days in-office per week)
Full-time | Salary: Up to £32,000

Are you a proactive and creative digital marketer looking to make a real impact? An exciting opportunity has opened up for a Digital Marketing Executive to join a dynamic team focused on promoting the West Midlands as a leading destination for investment and innovation.

In this role, you’ll be part of a collaborative digital marketing team, working closely with internal specialists and the inward investment marketing function. You’ll help deliver compelling, data-driven digital content and campaigns that highlight the region’s sector strengths, strategic assets, and innovation potential to both UK and international investors.

As the organisation transitions into a new regional Economic Development Vehicle (EDV), this is a fantastic time to join and contribute to shaping its digital presence and strategic outreach.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development and execution of always-on content plans and multi-channel digital campaigns targeting investors and business audiences.
  • Create, publish, and optimise digital content across various formats (web, LinkedIn, email, blogs, infographics, etc.) aligned with sector propositions.
  • Manage and update website content using a CMS, and collaborate on landing pages and lead generation tools.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (marketing, design, business development, research) to brief and deliver campaign assets.
  • Monitor and report on campaign performance using tools like Google Analytics 4, Looker Studio, Emplifi, and CRM data.
  • Contribute to SEO improvements and enhance site structure to support investor journeys.
  • Provide digital marketing support for key events and trade missions (e.g., Birmingham Tech Week, UKREiiF, MIPIM, and international delegations).

What They're Looking For

  • 1–3 years’ experience in a marketing role, ideally B2B-focused.
  • Familiarity with CMS platforms, email marketing tools, and social media (especially LinkedIn).
  • Basic understanding of Google Analytics, SEO, and content performance metrics.
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to turn insights into engaging digital content.
  • Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate across teams.
