Credit Controller

Job Title: Credit Controller (6-Month FTC)
Location: Coventry, Warwickshire
Contract Type: Fixed Term - 6 Months
Salary: £27-30k depending on experience

About the Role:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Credit Controller to join our finance team within a well-regarded private school academy based in Coventry. This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in supporting the financial operations of our institution during a key period.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing and maintaining the school's debtor ledger.
• Proactively contacting parents/guardians regarding outstanding fees via phone, email, and written correspondence.
• Negotiating and monitoring payment plans, ensuring timely and effective follow-up.
• Working closely with internal teams including admissions and finance to resolve queries.
• Reconciling accounts and preparing regular debt reports for senior management.
• Supporting month-end procedures and the wider finance team

What We're Looking For:

• Previous experience in credit control or accounts receivable
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Strong query resolution skills
• Attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial systems.

Contract Details:

This is a 6-month fixed-term contract with the possibility of extension.

Based on-site in Coventry, Warwickshire.

Full-time hours, Monday to Friday. 35 hour week
