Visitor Economy Analyst - West Midlands 
 
Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum 
Location: Hybrid - West Midlands based 
Contract: Full-time, permanent 
 
Are you passionate about using data and insight to shape how regions attract visitors and grow their tourism economies? 
We're looking for a Visitor Economy Analyst to join a regional organisation focused on strengthening the tourism and visitor economy across the West Midlands. 
 
The Opportunity 
This role offers the chance to combine analytical expertise with real-world impact. You'll support research, data analysis and evaluation work that informs strategy and policy across tourism, major events and visitor attraction programmes. 
Working collaboratively across teams, you'll help design and deliver insight that drives investment, improves visitor experiences, and supports economic growth. 
 
Key Responsibilities 
Analyse tourism, economic and event-related data to identify trends and opportunities 
Support delivery of research and evaluation projects, including managing data and reporting processes 
Contribute to the commissioning and quality assurance of external research 
Produce clear, engaging reports and visual presentations for senior stakeholders 
Work collaboratively with public sector, academic and industry partners to share insights and best practice 
Maintain and enhance core datasets, ensuring consistency and data integrity 
 
About You 
You'll bring: 
Strong analytical and research skills, ideally within tourism, economics, or regional development 
Confidence using data analysis tools (Excel, Power BI or similar) 
Excellent written and verbal communication - able to translate data into meaningful insights 
Strong organisational and project coordination ability 
A collaborative approach and enthusiasm for supporting evidence-based decision-making
