SF Recruitment’s Professional Services division is working with a well-regarded client to recruit a Temporary Purchasing Assistant to join their busy Procurement Team. Known for their commitment to excellence and innovation, this business offers a fast-paced and dynamic working environment.

The Role:
As a Temporary Purchasing Assistant, you’ll provide essential administrative and operational support to the Procurement Team. You'll play a key role in sourcing suppliers, preparing purchase orders, and helping to ensure the timely delivery of goods and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Procurement Team in identifying and assessing potential suppliers

  • Prepare and process purchase orders and supplier contracts

  • Liaise with vendors to gather quotes, negotiate pricing, and coordinate delivery schedules

  • Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation

  • Assist with supplier relationship management and ongoing performance tracking

  • Respond to procurement-related queries and resolve delivery or invoice issues

  • Provide general administrative support as needed

What You’ll Need:

  • Previous experience in an administrative or purchasing/procurement support role

  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask effectively

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry

  • Confident using Microsoft Office (especially Excel, Word, and Outlook)

  • A proactive, team-oriented approach with the ability to work independently
