Interim Management Accountant

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Accountant to join a leading service company based in Walsall.

This is a key role within the business, responsible for overseeing financial operations, ensuring the integrity of financial reporting, and providing strategic financial guidance.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting within the manufacturing sector and will play a pivotal role in supporting the company's growth and financial stability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Lead the month-end and year-end close processes.
• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, including fixed assets, inventory, and accruals.
• Provide financial analysis including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Lead and manage the external audit process.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior members of the finance team.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Fully qualified accountant ACA, ACCA, CIMA
• Significant experience within the manufacturing industry.
• Proficient in financial reporting and analysis, with advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems
• Experience in managing audits and liaising with external auditors.
