Location: Warwickshire - Hybrid
Contract: 3 Months (Potential to extend)
Day Rate: £400
We are supporting a well-established UK services organisation in Warwickshire that requires an experienced Interim Head of Finance to provide leadership and continuity within the finance function during a short-term transition period.
This role will take ownership of the day-to-day finance operation, ensuring robust financial control, accurate reporting, and continuity across accounting, payroll and transactional finance while supporting the senior leadership team.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the finance function including transactional accounting and payroll teams
Oversee month-end close, financial reporting and consolidation into group reporting systems
Maintain strong balance sheet control and reconciliations
Manage cashflow forecasting and support group reporting requirements
Ensure statutory reporting and regulatory compliance are delivered accurately and on time
Support collaboration between finance operations and FP&A
Identify improvements in processes, systems and controls
Provide leadership and mentoring to a small finance team
Candidate Profile
Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) or equivalent experience
Strong financial control and reporting background
Experience managing transactional finance and payroll functions
Comfortable operating in a multi-site or services environment
Strong Excel and financial systems capability (ERP exposure advantageous)
Able to quickly stabilise and lead a finance team in an interim capacity
This is a hands-on leadership role suited to an experienced finance professional who can step into an established business, maintain financial governance, and ensure a smooth transition within the finance function.
