SF Recruitment scooped many titles this year. Here's a run down of how they were recognised a great employer to work for, both regionally and nationally.

SF Recruitment has cemented itself as a leading specialist recruiter, after being listed as a Sunday Times 100 Best Small Companies to Work For and commended for its learning and development, following a ceremony in London on Wednesday 19 February.

Being named the 16th Best Small Company To Work For in the UK, SF Recruitment has been praised for its commitment to achieve high employee engagement and also won the national Learning and Development Special Award on the night, presented by BBC's Dan Walker.

SF Recruitment has made a significant investment into its employee engagement programme over the last two years. In addition to flexible working options, the company offers a range of benefits and incentives which allow employees to reduce their hours and enjoy an early finish on a Friday.

SF Recruitment was also named among the top five companies to work for in the Midlands, regardless of size.

Positioned as the fifth best company in the Midlands - and the number one recruiter - to work for, the announcement came a few weeks after SF Recruitment was commended for its learning and development by the Sunday Times.

Saira Demmer, CEO at SF Recruitment, said: “We have developed a number of fantastic learning and development programmes over the last few years and we are thrilled to have been recognised as the fifth best company to work for in the Midlands.

“In our day jobs, we are obsessed with matching the right people with their ideal roles, and for us to achieve this, we knew we had to make sure that all of our people were coming to work every day excited to be in their own ideal roles. Being part of a team of engaged, successful people is what we believe makes a business an employer of choice”

Earlier this year, SF Recruitment earned three-star accreditation by Best Companies, which is recognised as the UK standard in workplace development. Among the recent changes to the workplace, the company introduced market-leading enhanced maternity pay, length of service rewards and clear career development pathways.

Improving wellbeing has also been a key driver for the business, as Saira Demmer explained: “We have provided options for our people to focus on their physical, mental and financial wellbeing, at a time and in a way that suits them and their individual circumstances.”

“In addition to healthcare plans and gym memberships, we have regular visits from a mindfulness consultant and an anonymous counsellor is also available to employees who would like to discuss personal matters in a safe environment.”

Commenting on the success of SF Recruitment, Paul Faulkner, CEO of the Greater Birmingham Chamber of Commerce, commented: “It is fantastic to see SF Recruitment leading the way in employee engagement and its position as a best company to work for. The business has set a really positive example for other businesses in the Midlands, and the initiatives it has introduced over recent years has shown why it is such a forward-thinking company.”
