SF Recruitment Recognised by Sunday Times Top 100 Best Places to Work

By Hannah Mills
Sunday Times Award 1

SF Recruitment is delighted to announce its recognition as one of the Sunday Times Best Places to Work for 2024 in the medium size category. Awarded by The Sunday Times in partnership with the employee-experience platform WorkL, this prestigious accolade celebrates SF Recruitment's position as a leader among the UK's most outstanding employers.

This year, the Sunday Times honoured over 500 organisations from various industries for their exceptional workplace environments. The awards commend not only general excellence but also the creation of supportive workplaces for diverse community groups, including women, LGBTQIA+ individuals, disabled employees, ethnic minorities, and workers of various ages, with a special emphasis on wellbeing.

Utilising a rigorous set of 26 questions crafted by WorkL, which draw on the expertise of behavioural scientists, psychologists, and business leaders, the survey measures employee engagement, wellbeing, and discretionary effort. To achieve recognition, organisations must excel across WorkL’s six-step framework: Reward and Recognition, Instilling Pride, Information Sharing, Empowerment, Wellbeing, and Job Satisfaction.

From 70,000 applicants, around 100 were selected in each size category based on their scores, marking a significant achievement for SF Recruitment. The company notably secured an impressive 92% overall workplace happiness score, far exceeding the industry benchmark of 73%.

Saira Demmer, CEO of SF Recruitment, comments on the achievement: "This recognition as one of the Sunday Times Best Places to Work reinforces our commitment to our core values—be collaborative, be pioneering, be insightful, be human, be the best. It drives us to maintain these principles, fostering a culture of continual innovation and improvement. Particularly gratifying was achieving a 93% empowerment score, which our management team views as a key differentiator for SF Recruitment. We are pleased to see our employees feel the same. A special thanks to all our employees for their participation and for giving us another reason to be proud of our collective work."

Chris Longcroft, EVP Publisher for The Times and The Sunday Times, also highlighted the importance of such achievements: “All organisations are only as good as the people they employ and retain. The Sunday Times Best Places to Work awards recognise companies that are innovating to create an engaged and fulfilling working environment for all and in so doing they are creating the best possible platform for business success. To be named on The Sunday Times Best Places to Work list is a true recognition of excellence and I congratulate those organisations who made the grade this year.”

This accolade serves not just as a testament to SF Recruitment's current success, but also sets a benchmark for other companies aiming to enhance their workplace environments. It confirms SF Recruitment’s dedication to its team and commitment to delivering superior service to its customers, thereby fostering growth and excellence across all operations.
