Production Engineer

Production Engineer Vacancy. Our client who works within the aerospace / automotive / motorsport industry are looking for a Production Engineer to join them on a permanent basis. The Production Manager will provide engineering support for production processes with a focus on quality and continuous improvement and collaborate closely with the Head of Engineering.

Production Engineer - main duties include:
- Prepare documents detailing the production process from design drawings.
- Conduct technical feasibility at enquiry stage.
- Create stage drawings and material master data in ERP System (ABAS).
- Design jigs, fixtures, and tooling.
- Assist with machine purchase specs, maintenance, and layout.
- Support manufacturing with technical issues, programming, and tooling orders.
- Support quality control with plans and corrective actions.
- Track and file data, ensuring traceability of changes.
- Liaise with suppliers, particularly for tooling and materials.

Production Engineer requirements:
- Engineering related degree or 5 years' experience plus in metal cutting manufacturing.
- Manufacturing industry experience, in Automotive, Motorsport or Aerospace.
- Proficient in CAD/CAM software and reading manufacturing drawings.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, Kaizen, 5S, Lean practices, and ISO 9001

Hours of Work: Monday - Friday, full-time days.
