
Management Accountant
Are you an experienced Management Accountant looking to take on a broad and varied role within a growing finance team?
SF Recruitment are working with a well-established business based in the West Midlands that is seeking a confident and proactive Management Accountant. This is a hands-on position offering exposure across month-end reporting, cost allocation, and financial control — ideal for someone looking to build on their experience in a supportive, forward-thinking environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts to trial balance

Posting accruals, prepayments, journals, and general ledger entries

Managing cost allocations across departments and analysing variances

Completing VAT reconciliations and ensuring compliance

Supporting year-end audit preparation and fixed asset register maintenance

Contributing to process improvements and finance systems development

Providing support to the Finance Manager and covering responsibilities as required
Requirements:
-
Part-qualified (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) or qualified by experience (QBE)

3–5 years' experience in a finance or accounting role

Strong understanding of VAT, prepayments, accruals, and month-end processes

Confident Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables); SAP experience is advantageous

Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem solving

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and within a team
