Interim Financial Accountant
SF Recruitment are recruiting for a Senior Financial Accountant on an interim basis for a retail business based in Birmingham.
This is a vital role for the organisation which requires a pro-active and hands-on qualified accountant to support the Group Financial Control team to develop up-to-date processes, policies and controls to ensure that the Group continues to accurately report its financial performance and position.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting in the preparation and analysis of financial statements, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
- Play a key role in managing the general ledger and conducting regular balance sheet reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.
- Preparing bank reconciliation and resolving differences.
- Participating in the month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparing journal entries and reconciling intercompany accounts.
- Supporting internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Analysing financial data and preparing reports for management, highlighting key insights and trends.
- Contributing to cross-functional projects and initiatives aimed at enhancing financial operations and efficiency.
To be considered for this role you will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA) and will have strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, particularly in financial reporting standards (IFRS).
My client is offering hybrid working with a minimum of 3 days a week in the office. This role will be on a fixed term basis for 12 months and will not be available on a day rate.
