Are you looking for a varied and dynamic role in Credit that offers hybrid working & study support?

SF are working in partnership with a growing business within a rapidly growing sector who are looking to grow their finance function as they acquire further companies and take market share. After centralising their Credit function here in the midlands, by the Birmingham Business Park, this team have gone from strength to strength and have just gone back to back with cash collection records, they are in the processes of streamlining processes and automating the systems. This is a dynamic and flexible workforce who are continuing to look for improvements collectively as a team.

In this role you will be reporting into and supported by a very hands on Credit Manager.

Your new role:

  • Managing a ledger made up of 600 live accounts all B2B
  • Analyse payment patterns and escalate any risks to the business
  • Proactive approach to accounts, resolving queries before due date
  • Prepare proposals for legal action and manage the legal recovery process with third party debt collection agencies
  • Ensure all cash is allocated in a timely and accurate manner
  • Work with the relevant teams to steamline the direct debit collection processors
  • Support the manager with month end management information, and support with internal and external audits


what you'll need

  • 2+ years experience in a Credit Control ideally within a high volume B2B environment
  • Process improvement mindset
  • Good Excel skills - Vlookups & Pivots desirable
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills


What you'll get in return:


The role is hybrid, however travel to the Birmingham is required 2 days a week. 37.5 hours a week, flexible working between 8am-6pm
