SF Recruitment are working with a Retail business who are recruiting for a Buyer within the Procurement team. This is a permanent, full-time role with a salary paying up to £45,000. This is a fantastic opportunity to join their Purchasing team and is ideally situated within Nottingham centre close to public transport links. Reporting to the Purchasing Manager you will be responsible for the procurement of materials considering cost, quality and lead times. You will need to have excellent communication skills in order to manage supplier relationships and be confident negotiating competitive terms and prices with them.

Scope of role
- Negotiate prices and terms with current and new suppliers
- Liaise with suppliers and source new products
- Optimise stock levels
- Provide sales forecasts
- Expedite orders
- Liaise with internal stakeholders
- Ongoing monitoring of product failure rates and negotiate resolution with suppliers
- Any other reasonable duties as required


The Buyer
- Experienced within Purchasing/Procurement
- Ideally from a Retail/Finished goods background
- Planning and Organisation Skills
- Negotiations skills
- Excellent Communication and Relationships building skills
- Positive and flexible approach
