The Role
Reporting directly in to the CEO, the Business Development Director will play a key role as a member of the senior management team, and will lead the organisation's efforts in expanding their presence in their specialist markets. You will drive business growth, forge strategic partnerships, and identify new opportunities in these sectors. You will be capable to both win new-logo business but also to drive incremental business from existing customers through continual development of innovative service offerings. You will be an expert in your field and will develop your go to market strategy based on extensive market analysis, as well as working with the wider leadership team to develop new products and services.

The Person
Alongside a business related degree qualification, the successful Business Development Director will:
- be able to demonstrate a background of sales success within either the aviation or aerospace markets
- have a working knowledge of selling in to government / defence / military / wider public sector markets (bids & tenders) alongside the private sector
- be used to a consultative sale process, being able to educate existing and potential customers
- have an innovative and creative approach to business development

Location
Open on location as this is a customer facing role, with the a requirement to be in the head office in the Midlands once per week.
