Bookkeeper

My client is a legal firm based in Blackpool. Due to the current incumbent leaving the business they are recruiting this role on a permanent basis into their finance function, this is an incredibly stable business with a small, tight knit team where everyone chips in to help each other toward the firms goals.

As a Bookkeeper you will be responsible for managing the accounts of the firm up to trial balance where the external accountants will then take over. You will manage the purchase and sales ledger from start to finish, prepare management reports, cashflows, expenses, budgets and other management information required by directors, perform daily banking and legal cashiering duties, as well as processing client and office payments and oversee the firms credit control.

This role will suit a candidate who has experience in a varied transactional accounting role taking accounts up to trial balance, preferably within the legal industry but this is by no means essential. The salary is paying up to £40,000 dependant on experience, you will be based onsite with flexibility on start and finish time and a very generous holiday entitlement.
