Assistant Accountant

SF are working with a well established Loughborough based business who are in search of an Assistant Accountant to join their Finance team on a full time, permanent basis. As the Assistant Accountant you will report to the Assistant Finance Manager and will be a key member of the accounting team.

Job duties:
• Daily cash management and postings, sales ledger, fixed assets and revenue transactions
• Bank account administration, petty cash & wage processing, bank reconciliation and cash book
• Reconciliation and balance of control accounts on a monthly basis
• Maintenance of the fixed asset register
• Operation of the sales ledgers, collating and posting recharges and generating sales invoices
• Continuous process improvement to improve the efficiency of the accounting function
• To undertake ad hoc duties as required

The ideal candidate will have the following:
• Nominal ledger experience
• Bank and cash management experience
• Up to date in tax rules – corporation tax, VAT
