The Organisation

SF Executive are working with a rapidly growing, private equity-backed SME that provides corporate training and apprenticeship-based consultancy services to a dynamic range of businesses across the country, including a wide variety of household businesses / brand names. The organsation offers pre-set and bespoke corporate management training, and provides apprenticeship-based training including consultancy (via the apprenticeship levy). With a head office in Southern Derbyshire, they are seeking to appoint two experienced and proactive consultative sales people to their business / client development team as Strategic Account Directors.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Sales & Marketing, the Strategic Account Director role is a really exciting opportunity for two proactive sales people to play a pivotal part in their strategic drive to capture incremental and repeat business in existing accounts, while having the commercial acumen to use compelling success stories to generate net new business in new clients. With a proven track record of partnering with fantastic client organisations the stage is set for the incoming team to work collaboratively to take this business to the next level. 

The Individual

The successful candidates will:

  • Have proven sales and account management experience in a consultative service-led businesses.
  • Have one of, or ideally a combination, of the below:
    • Expertise of successfully opening doors and converting new business with new clients (i.e. ‘Hunter’ mentality)
    • Expertise of strategically converting increasing amounts of new and unique business with existing clients and further developing these relationships (i.e., ‘Farmer’ mentality)
  • Have expeience of selling corporate training directly to clients, or experience of consulting around apprenticeships / the apprenticeship levy
  • Be used to working in a collaborative sales team with a team performance-based reward structure.
  • Have excellent sales competencies, but particularly, a consultative approach to sales and excellent relationship building abilities.
  • Have outstnding attention to detail, high standards, and take pride in doing an excellent job. 
  • Be able and willing to work in the office 5 days a week (living locally to South Derbyshire).
