Kate Strong: Championing Sustainability, Purpose & Performance

Kate Strong, a world champion triathlete, world record breaker, Purpose & Performance Coach, and Keynote Speaker, recently made waves in the UK with her recent 3000-mile cycle around mainland Britain. This incredible feat, accomplished on a handmade bike partially crafted from bamboo, was aimed at raising awareness of climate change and sustainability issues. Kate's journey was three years in the making, demonstrating meticulous planning and unyielding dedication to a cause close to her heart.

Born and educated in Cardiff, Kate's life journey took a transformative turn after a challenging period marked by financial struggles and emotional distress. Using her experience as a catalyst for change, she embraced running and swiftly became an age-group World Triathlon Champion. Kate's inspiring journey showcases her unwavering determination to overcome obstacles and achieve remarkable success in the face of adversity.

In a candid interview, Kate shares the highlights and challenges of her 3000-mile cycle, revealing the lessons learned about letting go of the past, focusing on the future, and practicing humility in acknowledging her accomplishments. Through her platform, Kate emphasises the urgency of the climate crisis and advocates for women's leadership in addressing global challenges. She passionately engages with schools on sustainability projects, emphasising the importance of giving back to the next generation.

A Vision for the Future

As an advocate for gender equality, Kate Strong passionately advocates for girls' rights to be respected and their voices to be heard. Reflecting on her own experiences of feeling 'different' as a child, Kate offers valuable advice to girls facing similar challenges, encouraging them to embrace their uniqueness and challenge societal expectations.

Kate's dedication extends beyond personal achievements; she envisions a future where women are recognised as natural leaders and aims to make a difference in the world through her advocacy for sustainability and climate action. In her own words:

"I'm happy to play the lone wolf, to march to the beat of my own drum. It gives me freedom, but perhaps it has made me too independent."

Inspiring Change

Kate's inspiring journey and her commitment to creating positive change serve as a beacon of hope and motivation. SF Recruitment is proud to share her story, underscoring the importance of resilience, determination, and the power of one person's actions to make a significant impact.
