SF Recruitment have a new opportunity for a Buyer for one of our leading clients based in Nottinghamshire. This is a full-time permanent role working Monday-Friday paying up to £30,000.

This is a really exciting role for someone who is looking to grow within Purchasing. Suitable candidates will have a positive attitude, keen to learn with and flexible and adaptive approach.

This role would also be suitable for candidates with previous purchasing experience looking to progress. The client is looking for someone who is hard working, driven and confident. You will be required to liaise with suppliers and build relationships so it is important you are have excellent communication skills.

Reporting to the Purchasing Manager you will be responsible for the placement of orders.

Main Duties:
• Working across all departments to ensure a smooth flow of materials, parts, and consumables.
• Reducing costs without compromising on quality or speed of supply.
• Sending RFQ’s
• Analysis of supplier quotations
• Negotiating with current suppliers on better terms.
• Issuing PO’s
• Keeping all departments informed
• Handling supplier and colleagues’ queries
• Be a key member of the team building strong relationships internally & externally.
