Job Title: Inventory Analyst
Location: NN4 (Fully office-based)
Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM with 1-hour lunch break
Salary: Up to £30,000

The Professional Services team at SF Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Inventory Analyst to join their expanding team.

THE OPPORTUNITY

As an Inventory Analyst, you will play a vital role in assessing warehouse inventory levels, strategizing for present and future merchandise needs based on sales projections, and overseeing the various stages of freight transportation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Evaluate warehouse inventory levels and prioritize redistribution as necessary.
  • Analyze sales forecast reports to efficiently place orders.
  • Ensure seamless replenishment processes to prevent back orders.
  • Identify high-priority and slow-moving items for strategic action.
  • Generate detailed inventory reports for decision-making.
  • Resolve inventory discrepancies with effective solutions.
  • Coordinate international deliveries and monitor shipment progress.
  • Manage customs procedures for imported goods.
  • Proactively identify potential delivery delays due to slow-moving items.
  • Maintain accurate shipping records and ensure timely data updates.
  • Foster strong relationships with shipping companies and suppliers.
  • Compile and analyze transportation cost data.
  • Develop and maintain product specification sheets.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

  • A-level or Bachelor's degree.
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in purchasing or replenishment.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel.
  • Prior experience in inventory analysis is preferred.
  • Knowledge of landed costs, customs taxes, and goods receipt processes is advantageous.
  • Experience with distributors is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
