SF Recruitment are working exclusively with a growing business. Working to support the Head of HR, the HR Officer will provide a professional HR support service and will assist in shaping the future of HR delivery within the company.

The role provides HR support to the whole company covering a wide range of employment matters. Involving regular and close collaboration with all employees, managers and directors and requires a high level of initiative, empathy, and experience in the field of human resources, and employment best practice.

Hours: 08:30 - 17:00 (Onsite)
Salary: £40,000
- Responsible for the maintenance of HR Policy documentation to ensure all company policies and procedures are up to date and in line with the direction set by the HRBP and current employment law.
- Lead and deliver HR projects as identified by the Head of HR as key to the business priorities.
- To be the front-line representative for the function and deliver first line day-to-day sound and pragmatic HR advice to all managers and employees.
- To manage stage one casework on procedural matters such as absence, performance, disciplinary and grievance in accordance with company HR policy and practice.
- Highlighting individual cases of concern which have potential broader impact for policy development for the organisation, to ensure alignment of approach and consistency as a function.
- Coaching and training line managers with a focus to 'up-skill' their capability to build strong relationships with their employees providing for high performing teams.
- Maintaining computerised and hard copy employee records.. Produce official correspondence to employees, including contracts of employment and record notes of formal meetings.
- Taking ownership of the HR team meeting agenda and manage any actions agreed.
- Provide data analysis from employee records to assist planning and decision making to support the business as required.
- Organise the administration of all recruitment exercises, including placing advertisements, communicating with candidates, preparing shortlisting materials, arranging interviews.
- Absence Monitoring, Manage and log self-certification and Fit Notes
- Produce sickness stats, Inform Head of HR when staff reach trigger points.
- Compose and send routine contractual letters to staff regarding probation, maternity, paternity, parental, unpaid leave, end of fixed term contracts, sickness absence arrangements etc.
- Attend and take minutes at meetings where appropriate.
- Assist with tasks associated with the annual review process, probation process, induction process, and regular update of the employee handbook in conjunction with the head of HR.
- Assist with training and development administration including, booking courses.
- Talent Management, performance management and succession planning
- To provide support to the Head of HR and functional leads by gathering performance and relevant personal data required in preparation for the talent review process to support with the delivery of development, talent and succession plans that result from this process.
- To provide support with the co-ordination of the performance management process, driving adherence and quality discussions between line managers and employees.
- To manage the development programmes for apprentices and graduates as determined by the organisation resource plan. Lead the recruitment and selection of these young talents and oversee their successful development throughout their programme duration, providing comprehensive assessment of their performance, potential, and aspirations in readiness for placement into permanent first roles.

Required
- CIPD qualified.
- Minimum of 4 years post qualification experience
- Ability to effectively plan and prioritise workload.
- Ability to maintain systems and procedures.
- Able to build strong relationships; internal and external.
- Good interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
- Clarity of view and focus on objectives; results driven.
