SF Recruitment are working with a business based in Redditch who is looking for a Health & Safety Officer to join the team
£35,000 - £45,000
Office based

Role:
o Ensure Health, Safety and Environmental Procedures are implemented and develop procedures to comply with legal obligations
o Co-ordinate health, safety and environmental issues day to day.
o Collect and collate data in order to compile reports, i.e. CDP, Greenhouse Gas, Packaging regulations, Carbon Footprinting, Customer reporting, incident and accident reporting etc.
o Develop and track annual targets and benchmarking.
o Knowledge / experience of ISO 14001/ ISO 45001 Management systems. Have good working knowledge / understanding of current health, safety and environmental legislation.
o Develop and implement health, safety and environmental programs, policies, and compliance and training programs to ensure compliance with regulations, company polices, standards, and practices.
o Conduct audits and inspections to ensure compliance with company procedures and legislation.
o Improve the overall health, safety and environmental performance throughout the organisation by developing and promoting programs to ensure that operations meet regulatory requirements.
o To maintain effective communication with staff and external bodies in relation to Health, Safety and Environment issues.
o Involvement in site Health, Safety and Environmental Organisation, Planning, Measurement and Audit/Review. Prepare, communicate, and implement responses and corrective actions.
o Prepare and coordinate reports, and maintain recordkeeping as required
o Prepare and input information for the HSE committee monthly meeting. Action any outcomes as necessary with the HSE Manager.
