About the role
You’ll be joining the organisation as interim Financial Accountant on a 12 month fixed term contract, supporting the Head of Finance with key delivery of preparation and production of the statutory accounts and returns in line with external deadlines.
You’ll take responsibility for the line management of a self-sufficient team of three finance assistants alongside ensuring delivery of balance sheet reconciliations are completed and signed off promptly.
You will be responsible for the completion and submission of external returns where applicable alongside producing reports as required for audit, whilst being given the opportunity to get involved with wider duties and responsibilities such as systems implementation workload.
Package and benefits
Salary on offer is up to £52,000 p/a
Additionally, a large degree of flexibility around hybrid working and working hours is available, with 50/50 hybrid working on offer and the ability to work around your diary.
A highly attractive net pension of 27% is on offer alongside a highly attractive annual leave entitlement.
You will be a competent qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) with strong, relevant experience in statutory reporting in a similar role. Prior public sector experience is not essential however would be beneficial.
You will be able to work at pace, able to adapt to varying challenges and demands, act as a right-hand person to the Head of Finance. This is a highly attractive role with potential for permanency.
