SF Recruitment are pleased to be working in partnership with a leading household name with manufacturing operations based in Stowmarket in the appointment of a key financial figurehead for the site.

My client are the subsidiary of a leading household brand who supply a wide variety of market-leading goods to the retail market. This site manufacture specailised houshold products and are one of the market leaders in the field.

About the role:
Business Partner/Site Controller

This role is a key senior appointment at the site with a heavy data analytical bias to it. 

As part of your role, you will have a full understanding of the business unit, product area and market strategies, working closely with key stakeholders across the group.

The role is a highly analytical and structural role with varying priorities, requiring the processing and presentation of data to a variety of seniority levels within the organisation through effective and proactive communication, driving continuous improvement through digitalization and automation, delivering in a commercial and entrepreneurial fashion whilst working effectively in an autonomous role which will require virtual liasion across various sites within the group.

Key duties and responsibilities will include: 
- Provide active support in steering the business unit towards achieving Sales, Profit and Net Working Capital targets
- Consulting for the business segment and to further stakeholders at site
- Margin controlling, including coordination of the BU margin planning process in business plan and current forecasts (BU-internally and with central functions)
- Legal entity controlling for the BU. in collaboration with shared service functions, including planning of capital expenditures
- Support steering of sales region across Europe and Asia-Pacific from a business unit perspective (shared with a colleague)
- Contribute to an effective and efficient reporting landscape in the business unit
- Carry out project calculations, simulations, business case analysis, and participate in project work
- Critical look on performance indicators
- Working on and with standards, alignment with stakeholders, tracking realization
- Working with extensive data and complex calculations
- Business Storytelling, receiver-oriented communication, consult stakeholders without a finance background across several hierarchy levels
- Driving continuous improvement activities
- Active support in visualizing performance indicators, leverage existing and future IT landscape, drive digitalization

About you

You will be a strong financial professional with substantial business partnering skills and prior site controller exposure/experience (such as business unit, plant or divisional controlling)

You will be able to deliver the role with effective written, presentation and technology skills, comfortable delivering with and to individuals at varying seniority levels (including financial and non-financial). You will be able to undertake your role in a commercial, entreprenurial fashion, demonstrating proactivity and the ability to balance varying priorities.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) however individuals with strong, relevant experience who are not qualified will also be welcomed to apply. 

Individuals with prior cross-border/cross-cultural experience as part of their roles will have a strong advantage, and the ability to speak German would be advantageous however is not essential.

Core IT skills required include MS Excel (Advanced)

SAP Business Explorer experience would be beneficial, as would Oracle Hperion Financial Management.
