Our client is a Midlands-based, market leading, innovative consumer durables business with a great heritage and instantly recognisable brand name. To support their continued growth and success, they are looking for a commercially-minded Director of Product Management to play a key role in their journey. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a flourishing senior leadership team in a business where career opportunities are plentiful.

The Role
The Director of Product Management will be consumer-centric and have a wide ranging role leading the Product & Category strategy for the business. This will include owning all aspects of portfolio management, shaping ranges, pricing and promotional strategies, as well as managing product life-cycles, and creating clear product road maps. In addition, the successful candidate will create and deliver a clear go-to-market strategy working closely with the senior commercial teams to create clear channel and distribution plans. You'll also oversee the Insight team as you use real and live data to inform and shape product development and communication strategies.

The Person
The Director of Product Management will:
- have a demonstrable track record in category / product management in the consumer good industry
- be able to manage the complexities of multiple disciplines from marketing to product development to sales and sourcing in order to deliver product and category strategies
- have an understanding of technical product specifications
- understand the importance of market / consumer insight and how its interpretation can influence and benefit decision making
- have a commercial mindset and be able to spot opportunities as and when they arise
- be adept at leading and motivated a talented team of Product professionals
