This role can is hybrid and can be based out of there Birmingham, Manchester or Sheffield offices.


An exceptional opportunity awaits a seasoned data analyst/data scientist to play a pivotal role in the transformation of our client into a data-driven organization. Following the integration of three businesses over the last 24 months, the company is embarking on the next phase of its journey, leveraging combined data to redefine its operational strategies.

Role Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the insights and data team to enhance understanding of available data and drive measures for enhanced business performance.
Provide insights, analysis, and recommendations to influence operational discussions, routine reporting, and post-implementation evaluations.
Contribute to the development of modeling and machine learning approaches, facilitating data-driven decision-making.
Deliver regular reports for data-informed evaluation of commercial activities and initiatives.
Support the implementation of a comprehensive organization-wide change program using data to enhance business performance and identify new opportunities.

Strong numerical acumen, demonstrated through a relevant degree or equivalent qualification.
Essential: Proficiency in SQL or Python, as well as advanced Excel skills.
Essential: Proven experience in developing and deploying statistical models and machine learning in a business context.
Desirable: Familiarity with PowerBI, Tableau, Databricks, Alteryx.
Experience in data wrangling within Microsoft Azure and Alteryx is advantageous.
Capability to manage multiple stakeholders, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
Exceptional communication skills, enabling the clear presentation of actionable insights and complex findings to non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
