As a Commissioning Engineer at our client, you will play a pivotal role in managing the onsite testing and commissioning processes for our contracts. Your primary responsibilities will include ensuring contractual compliance with technical specifications, maintaining harmony between design intent and operational efficiency, and mitigating project risks. You will be responsible for documenting deviations and variations, managing project timelines, and solving problems to ensure seamless project execution.
- Ownership of Commissioning Aspect: Manage, control, and take ownership of the commissioning aspect of assigned contracts, ensuring adherence to build specifications and company design criteria.
- Technical Support: Provide technical support to the Applications Engineer and clients when necessary.
- Technical Documentation: Review technical documentation of contract systems to understand their functions.
- Work Scheduling: Prepare and communicate weekly work schedules to subcontract partners and senior management for effective project management.
- Variations and Deviations: Communicate variations and deviations promptly to accommodate contract amendments or delays, ensuring alignment with required contract dates.
- Documentation: Prepare detailed documentation for various testing stages and project commissioning plans.
- Collaboration: Support cross-team communication and develop a library of standardized documentation.
- Test Result Analysis: Review test results and prepare comprehensive test reports to confirm compliance with technical specifications.
- Resource Management: Efficiently manage technical labour resources from the planning stage to on-site execution.
- Proven experience as a Commissioning Engineer/Manager.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Sound knowledge of Switchgear installations.
- Driving License
- Valid driving license for occasional site visits.
Hours of Work: Monday - Friday permanent days.
