£28,000 - £32,000 + 8% bonus + Overtime (time and a half)

SF Recruitment are recruiting for a CNC machinist to work for our well-known client based in Wigston.

Job Description:
• Operation of a Morbidelli 5-axis CNC router to machine items designed by in-house engineering design team.
• Assist engineering design team with assembly of equipment.
• Small-scale design work may be required, such as modifying components to be machined on CNC router.
• Liaising with third party contractors and ordering in materials.
• Assembly and fitting of equipment.
• Work within the Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) environment, read relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and complete tasks in our Quality Management System (QMS).
• Work safely in your area and support the Equipment Projects Manager in the creation and upkeep of RAMs and other documents in our H&S system and ensure compliance with relevant regulations (e.g. PUWER).
• Learn new fabrication techniques to support your role. Examples include plastic welding, pipework and wood working.

Other Duties:
• At the discretion of the Deputy Managing Director and Head of Engineering, and in liaison with the Equipment Projects Manager, your services may be utilised for other areas of the business such as building construction or building maintenance.
• In times of high work load, overtime and weekend working (paid) is expected.
• Emergency call outs may be required.

Job Requirements:
• Experience with 3-axis CNC machinery operation and programming
• Experience with 5-axis CNC operation and programming beneficial but not mandatory
• Training for the effective and safe operation of the 5-Axis CNC router will be provided.

Candidates with CNC Milling and Turning experience will be considered as training on specific machinery will be given.

The company:
Overtime is paid at time and a half. There will be 24 days of paid holiday in addition to any statutory Bank Holidays. A discretionary, performance-based bonus of up to 8% of basic salary is awarded in two installments every 6 months (4% each). A company-wide discretionary pay rise is awarded on the 1st April.
