Are you a Category Manager looking for a new challenge? SF Recruitment are working with a fantastic high growth business based in Derby looking to recruit a Category Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is driven, passionate and looking to make a role their own.
This is a full-time permanent role working Monday-Friday. The salary for this role is up to £50,000 along with hybrid working and bonus!
The client is looking for someone who is self-driven and with previous experience working in a Category Manager role. Suitable candidates will ideally come from a Retail background with experience managing projects. You will need excellent leadership skills along with analytical and problem solving abilities. You will need to be a 'self-starter' and be ok working independently as well as being able to work closely with other internal stakeholders.
Develop the domestic brand proposition and define the range strategy based on insights and customer needs.
Customer centric approach with all ranging decisions based on addressing current & future customer needs & anticipating future market trends.
Managing and maintaining vendor relationships and responsible for vendor negotiations.
Development of strategic vendors and coordinate strategic review meetings to engage and share collective goals and targets.
Defining the domestic brands for future category development, including SKU growths and targets.
Coordinate all NEW range launches into the business through leading the cross functional team.
Ownership for annual trading calendar and defining seasonally relevant categories to optimise sales & margin.
Ongoing analysis of current range performance, adapting to market conditions whilst reviewing stock levels.
Analysis of sales data to support weekly trading reports to provide range & category performance & reports to senior leadership team for any trends or issues.
Proficient in CPA management to ensure on time delivery of projects.
Accountable for sales & margin budgets for domestic brand categories
Attend relevant trade fairs & exhibitions to ensure the latest innovations & developments in market are understood and incorporated where appropriate.
You must have worked in a similar role previously and be able to develop domestic brand offer strategy and interpret customer insights to create a range. You will need excellent communication skills as you will be required to communicate and build relationships with Vendors along with negotiation skills. You will need to be highly organised due to the multiple projects you will be working on and be used to working to different deadlines. Experience with forecasting new promotional product ranges is a must.
