1st Line Service and Project Support

SF Recruitment is currently recruiting for a 1st Line Service and Project Support for a key client of ours based in Ripley. This is a full-time, permanent position working Monday to Friday (with one day working from home). Hours for the role are flexible across 8-4.30pm, 8.30-5pm or 9-5.30pm.

The role itself is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is keen to advance further in the IT world, having already got at least 1-2 years' experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for technical support duties across the service desk (1st and some 2nd line) alongside a variety of project related tasks on an adhoc basis relating to service and project administration. As part of the customer-focussed service desk, it is crucial you can demonstrate excellent communication and problem-solving skills to ensure compliance with SLA's.

Typical duties will include:

  • Efficiently manage and prioritise IT service tickets using ITIL-based ticket management systems.
  • Perform first and second-line incident assessments to identify the nature and severity of technical issues quickly
  • Deliver a personalised and friendly customer service experience, focusing on resolving issues efficiently while maintaining high customer satisfaction
  • Ensure compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to provide timely and effective responses to all technical inquiries
  • Work with technologies including Microsoft, Citrix, Azure, and physical IT data centre infrastructure
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of technology integration and functionality
  • Assisting in ensuring the completion and customer approval of recurring tasks and projects
  • Act as a liaison between clients and engineers for scheduling engineering work
  • Manage project administration tasks, including obtaining customer sign-offs and defining project scopes

Ideal experience/knowledge:

  • Experience in coordination, customer service or a related field
  • Experience in IT support
  • Basic knowledge of networking principles, Citrix systems, and data centre architecture (preferred)
  • Familiarity with Microsoft technologies and Azure cloud services (preferred)
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
