Supporting you to support others.

Over ten years ago, we decided to dedicate a team to look after the specific needs of candidates and clients in the not-for-profit sector. It has become a very strong sector for the region and we've not looked back.

It's important that you work with a recruiter that understands the different challenges you face to a more commercially minded business. Our specialists understand the differences in how you generate funding, ensure regulatory compliance, report and how stakeholders differ in this sector.

We're experienced with working with Central and Local Government, local council, public practice, regulators and social housing. We also have rich network of clients and candidates who specialise in charities, charitable trusts, museum trusts and membership bodies. We regularly work with educational institutions such as this region's colleges, universities, schools and multi-academy trusts.

Our team who work on behalf of these organisations usually unlock qualified / part-qualified finance talent with ACCA, ACA, ACMA, CIMA, AAT and CIPFA qualifications, however we can look after your recruitment needs right across our nine areas of specialism. You can find these in the site menu.

Our Reviews

I have worked with Mike and the team at SF now for over 12 years, both as a candidate and a client. They have recruited a number of vital roles for us including Head of Governance, Head of Communications, Head of PMO, HR Manager, Interim Finance Manager, Finance Analysts, Governance Officer, Programme Support Officers and me as Chief Operating Officer!

We are incredibly lucky to now have a successful and high performing team. I do not underestimate the role SF have played, they bring candidates to us that really fit with our culture and who have the knowledge, skills and experience to make a difference at GBSLEP.

They listen, they understand my preferred approach and style as the hiring manager and what our values and goals are at the LEP. They are not afraid to challenge me if they think I am not thinking creatively about a potential candidate or to bring market knowledge and insight into the vacancies we are offering. This includes encouraging us to re-write job descriptions to make a role more attractive in the market. Whatsmore, they are strong on communicating through the recruitment campaign and do the leg work, making recruiting multiple roles a lot less like hard work!

Another of SF’s key strengths is their local knowledge and passion for our region. I thoroughly recommend working with them.

It is a pleasure working with SF, they are always extremely personable, professional and have a vast knowledge of the recruitment market.

SF focus on understanding the customer's needs to match candidates to the organisation.

Their 'nothing is too much trouble' approach and going over and above what is expected has really helped me with some sensitive recruitment issues. It is the best recruitment support I have experienced.

I have no hesitation in recommending SF to anyone.

In total SF Recruitment recruited 16 roles across two different functions, ranging from junior transactional roles to senior management positions.

My experience of SF Recruitment was that they delivered an excellent client service and I consider them a key partner to The David Ross Education Trust going forward.
