Meet Catherine - Our Senior Recruitment Consultant In Leicester

Want to find out more about SF Recruitment, then who better to tell you than our own people!!! Catherine Forrest works part-time from our Leicester Office and has been with us for over 2 years achieving huge success.

Catherine, what do you do here at SF Recruitment?

I am a Senior Recruitment Consultant working within the Commercial Division in our Leicester offices, covering HR, Office Support, Marketing, IT, Procurement, Supply Chain and Logistics. I look after temporary recruitment across Leicestershire, working a flexible 4-day week.

What is life like at SF Recruitment?

Its super busy, no two days are the same! I would say recruitment in all sectors is tough right now, but the Leicester office are a great team, and we all support each other to get through those tougher days. We also have a great balance of support for each other, flexible working hours, and fun!  

What attracted you to join SF Recruitment?

I moved from another major name in recruitment where I had worked for a number of years and whilst salary and bonus schemes had a huge impact on my decision, more importantly the opportunity to work in a truly flexible environment was key.  I feel very fortunate to work alongside a manager and director who have given me complete autonomy and trust to work around my family needs. When I interviewed with Rebecca Parnell, Regional Director of the Leicester office, I could see that SF are forward thinking and always looking to improve, not just for growth but because they care about the people working within the organisation and that has become ever more apparent to me over the last 12/18 months

What is the best thing about working at SF Recruitment?

 I couldn’t pick just one thing as there are so many great things about SF Recruitment but here is my top three

  1. People. It’s great to work around so many grounded individuals who want to be successful but also work well as a team to make the business a success.
  2. Events/Get togethers. I have been on some amazing days out including hover crafting, champagne clubs and the last Christmas party before Covid-19 was amazing!!!  Even through the last year, the virtual events arranged were great fun and the perfect way to keep in touch with each other away from work.
  3. Flexible working. As a working mum of two boys who are 3 and 5, this is truly amazing and unfortunately while it’s not the norm across other businesses, SF Recruitment has proven that it works and have several incredibly successful working mums!

What do you tell your friend and family about SF Recruitment?

Sounds cheesy but I tell them I love working for SF! That, as a company, they understand that I have a life/commitments outside of work and they never make me feel guilty for needing to do things within work hours (within reason of course!!)

How do you like to spend your time out of work?

Days out with the family, cocktails with friends and going away on holiday when possible.
