It certainly makes sense that The Midlands has become the UK’s hub for logistics and supply chain companies. Over 90% of the UK population is accessible in under 4 hours of driving with the M1, M6, M40 and M5 nearby, there is quick access to two major airports and close proximity to the huge distribution centres for the Amazon, major supermarkets and high street retailers. Daventry is home to the international rail freight terminal, and the two airports in the region distribute air freight around the world.
Little wonder why the area between Birmingham, Nottingham and Northampton/Leicester is known as ‘The Golden Triangle’ of logistics. These cities are all home to an SF office and reason why we have such strong links to logistics and distribution companies. The Midlands has more warehousing space than London, Scotland and Wales combined.
