Management Accountant (Qualified) - Part Time
I'm delighted to be partered with one of the premier employers in the East Midlands on an exclusive basis to recruit for a rare part-time Management Accountant opportunity on 25 hours per week.

This is an exciting role suited to an experienced qualified accountant, comfortable with systems and analysis of information. The role will involve supporting the commercial function, so communication skills are key along with the ability to develop and maintain relationships.
About the role
You'll join the business as a part-time Management Accountant, supporting key senior stakeholders and the wider teams in providing the necessary reporting to both local and group management in an accurate and timely way. The overarching aim is to deliver the necessary stakeholders with the right tools to take short / medium term operational decisions, as well as assisting in the formulation of longer term business strategies.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
You role is an integral role within the Management Accounts team, taking responsibility for the following key management accounting activities:
- Compilation and review of expenditure to assist in the preparation the monthly management reporting pack
- Preparation and review of strategic and single year budgets, periodic reviews and forecasts
- Calculation and analysis of monthly variances for actual / forecast, versus previous forecast, annual budget and previous year
- Support of management, through provision of relevant, targeted information, analysis and advice
- Ensure financial procedures and processes are followed strictly in order to safeguard the company results and financial assets
- Be able to assist / support the whole Finance team, by sharing ideas and being a positive influence on the way the department operates
About You
You will be a full qualified accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA) - unfortunately applications from QBE accountants/part-qualified cannot be submitted.
The ideal candidate will have had prior exposure to or will have worked within a large national/multi-national organisation as well as having been involved in/taken the lead on key finance projects, however this is not essential.
Key Skills:
- A sound technical accounting knowledge
- Able to demonstrate strong analytical skills and understand / interpret information quickly
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to easily connect with people at different levels and in difference functions. Must be able to negotiate and influence, whilst maintaining a strong working relationship
- Highly IT literate, including a high proficiency in MS Excel - essential. Experience of SAP would be highly advantageous
- Need to be flexible, able to meet changing deadlines within a fast-paced environment
- A good team player, dynamic and have an enthusiastic perspective
- A resilient self-starter approach
- A drive for improvement of systems / reporting

The role is part-time, 25 hours per week (preferably over 5 days), although flexibility is available.
