Import/Export Coordinator

Role: Import/Export Coordinator
Salary: £40-45k
Location: Old Trafford

My client, a fashion sourcing company are looking for a Logistics Manager to join their ever-expanding team. This is a company that champions great quality and great pricing, whilst keeping ethical responsibility high on the agenda.

Responsibilities:
- Overseeing the whole import process for road, air and sea shipments for the business.
- Forecasting air, sea and road shipments to support sales targets and planned inventory.
- Connect with the 4 international offices to plan and forecast intake.
- Build strong relationships with the freight forwarders to get the best service along with driving costs down during this process.
- Staying commercially aware to any changes in legislation.
- Checking import documentation and Letters of credit with close attention to detail.
- Engage with freight forwarders to ensure the correct documentation is raised for the shipments.
- Work with the buying and merchandising team updating them on shipment status', delays, freight/port issues.
- Engage with head of finance to review logistics budgets and look at actual V.s forecasted.
- Booking of containers to the warehouse.
- Internal and external stakeholder management

Skills Required:
- Thorough knowledge of import/export processes
- Be up to date on relevant legislation and documentation
- Have previous experience within a Logistics/Import function
- Be a highly organised individual, with a keen eye for detail
