HGV Mechanic

Role: Field HGV Mechanic / Installations Engineer
Location: Remote / Field Based (UK National)

We are hiring a HGV Mechanic / Telematics Installation Engineer for a permanent position with a leading company in trailer axles and suspension systems based. This role involves installing and servicing telematics equipment across the UK, supporting trailer builders, fleet customers, and end users.

Benefits: Company Vehicle, Bonus, 20 days plus B/H plus Xmas shut down. Increasing by 1 day a year up to 25 days, Enhanced company pension.

Role and Responsibilities:
- Install new telematics equipment on trailers, including Electronic Brake Performance Monitoring, Tyre Pressure Monitoring, Fridge Temperature Monitoring, and Door Sensors.
- Conduct fault finding and diagnostics on existing installations.
- Commission, update, and monitor telematics units remotely.
- Provide in-person support to customers and service facilities.
- Complete job sheets and administrative tasks promptly.
- Travel to various locations across the UK.
- Flexible working hours as required.
- Assist the Technical Services team as needed.
- Ensure compliance with Health and Safety policies.

Your Skills and Experience:
- Ideally trained as an HGV Mechanic or experienced in Telematics Installation/Service Engineering.
- Clean driving licence preferred.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in following wiring diagrams.
- Excellent customer engagement skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday - fulltime permanent days / flexible hours.
